Actually they are called ragdolls because they flop like a toy doll when picked up.
My father started Fawpawz cattery in the UK and set the breed standard for the UK, back in the 1980’s.
I have many, many fond memories from our days as Ragdoll breeders, and these make wonderful pets.
Ragdolls are able to go outside, preferably under supervision. You can even train them to walk to heel via a cat harness, then without it.
I can recommend these cats to anyone and everyone, they are fantastic!
ragdoll’s do have matting fur, though nowhere near as much as a Himalayan or Persian. Mine has to go to the salon every six months to get them cut out because he’s not into being combed

aww i miss my ragdoll/siamese. She wasn’t like how a ragdoll at all though. she was feisty. and not as loving. She was temperamental and independent. But I still loved her. <3
