You are wonderful! Thank you for posting this and for your love for Pookie! =)
i Have a paralyzed cat as well. We have her wear a diaper and change that 2-3 times a day. About 1 month after we found her ( she was kicked by a golfer ) we found out she was pregnant and had 4 kittens all healthy
een prachtfilmpje, ik zou ook zeker zo voor die van mij zorgen, ik heb nu drie katten, en alle drie verschillend
incredible, i have the greatest respect for you and for what you are doing for pookie, your cats are obviously living happy lives, i have three cats myself and know how fulfilling it is to care for these little ones, you obviously love them very much, god bless!
WOW
I am full of appreciation to you!!
What a great life you provide to Pookie…
respectfully, gal.

Taking care of a cat in that condition
God bless you!
Aaah wat een leuke katten!
Wij hebben er ook twee echte donderstenen..
Ik denk dat Pookie en zijn broertje(?) erg gelukkig zijn bij jullie, van dit soort mensen moeten er meerdere zijn in de wereld!
go Ms. Arlette!
(Can’t wait for the soi-dog valentines day!)
It’s so amazing how you do all of this!
You are great masters, this is cat is lucky to got you as owners.
Thanks for sharing your love for animals for all of them
That is one lucky cat, you guys are very cool.
adorable!!! poor pookie but he seem to be very happy with such great owners.. thank you so much for the love that u have for animals..thank you
Thank you so much for sending it to your vet. S/he is in the perfect position to share it with people who need it the most and who might be unsure about what to do. Yes, we like the hair clip idea too!!
We lie Pookie down on his side, look for his bladder with our hands, and put pressure on it, like shown in the film. (any vet can show you how to do this.) 3 times a day is sufficient. This way, he does not need to wear a diaper. He could only urinate if his bladder was too full and started to leak, as he has no feelings in that part of his body. He poops on his own but does not feel it. It comes out once a day, wherever he is. Because of his diet, his poop is hard, odorless and small. Arlette
how do you get the cat to pee in the sink? i know people who have a paralized cat from a dutch shelter website.. they put the cat in diapers at night.. this info would be very helpfull for people! how does it poo
This is a wonderful video, I have watched it several times, and even sent the link to my vet – he was much impressed too! I smile every time you mention the tail clip, ingenious!
Thanks, have a good day Mrs. Arlette!

As a cat person myself, I really respect that there are people out there like yourselves who put so much time and effort into taking care of a cat. It warms my heart to watch this video. At the same time I feel sad for Pookie because he can’t ever be normal, but he is so well adjusted because of what you have done for him.
Wauw,Ik heb echt respect voor jullie.
Hoe jullie zo met jullie kat omgaan en zorgen,
vind ik echt heel mooi.
Groetjes Bryan
I agree! Miss Susan said how many people told you to put Pookie down, so I admire you for keeping her alive.
You guys are great
So much love for cats
its Beautifull
I’m getting tears in my eyes from it
And I want to say how wonderful I think it is that you obviously care so much for animals – they cannot speak out for themselves so they need our voices to be loud! Arlette
Hello Arlette!
My classmates Lizzy and Sean have already posted, but I want to say how cool it is how much you care for your cats.
Thank you so much for this. My cat recently became paralyzed. The doctors initially thought blood clot, but have not been able to determine the actual cause. Seeing how you take care of your kitty has given me so much encouragement. I do not want to have my little guy put to sleep as long as he can have a decent quality of life.
