It’s all in the training. Reward good behaviour, punish the bad.

And not by physically hurting them, those of you who are flicking/poking their lips into their mouths are going about it all wrong. Just scruff them and give them a hard stern “No!”.

Why did you throw her at the wall? She only thought you were playing…

my ferret sophie bit my nose so hard when she was a kit that i had to go to the hospital. i threw her across the room so hard she hit the wall and bounced off. after i got back from the hospital er i picked her up out of the cage. she was on the cage floor lying there limp and motionless. i thought she was dead. then she sprang to life after 2 seconds after i picked her up. scared the shit out of me! i felt bad. but y’know what? SHE’S NEVER BITTEN ME SINCE! so i guess she got the message.

Hi I’m Kenny Rogers and this is how to care for a ferret.
First you teach him how to hunt rabbits in their holes and then you teach him to steal valuable items from your neighbors.
Thank you for listening \../, boozetime

Expert Village is continually making the worst most unhelpful crap. Where were the tips in this? What she was saying is common sense!

My ferret is really calm.. He doesnt bite what so ever, he doesnt even nip at you.. I got him from an old neighbor of mine and I think they were mean to him.. He was skinny and never wanted to play or anything when I got him.. Now he put on some weight and is playful (still doesnt bit.. and he wont play with other animals either… he is scared of them.. T.T)

My ferrets (5 in total) have free reign of my house when I am home! ;D Mine in particular are not interested in cables, but I have heard of others who are, so you might just want to watch and see if they show interest! Ferrets are GREAT! Good luck :D

oh yeah, and this video does suck…

i´m getting one and i got question for all of you that have ferrets… when u let him out of cage when he is not sleeping he runs inside house.. and what have you done with cables(eg. comp, electricity, antena whatever)i can make some modifications to ensure he is not gonna get fried but how to be sure when they run and climb all around… do your ferrets find biting cables interesting or they just pass (bad english feel free to hate:)
